ALBANY, N.Y. – Hixny connected three organizations to the community-wide health information network (HIN) in July, further expanding the availability of patient records to the statewide healthcare community and to individual healthcare consumers.
Each new connection is contributing data using Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA)—the industry standard format for exchanging clinical information.
The new connections are:
- Better Health for Northeast New York, Care Management
- In Health Family Medicine in Plattsburgh, NY
- Open Door Family Medical Center serving Westchester and Putnam counties
One of the new partners, Open Door Family Medical Center, joins three existing members of Hixny’s network as a federally qualified health center (FQHC). These organizations are community-based healthcare providers that receive federal funding to provide primary care services to underserved communities. Open Door Family Medical Center provides more than just primary care, though. They also provide women’s health services, vision and dental care, behavioral health services and manage school-based health centers. FQHC organizations are critical members of the healthcare community as they help identify those members of the community who are most in need of healthcare services. Hixny is proud to add this partner as part of its mission to improve care for all residents of New York.
