ALBANY, N.Y. – Hixny connected three organizations to the community-wide health information network (HIN) in October, further expanding the availability of patient records to the statewide healthcare community and to individual healthcare consumers. These additions to Hixny’s network further expand the reach of the HIN into the lower Hudson Valley and Vermont.

The new connections are:

  • Albany County Department of Health
  • Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) Ambulatory Sites
  • Westchester Medical Center, including:
    • Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital
    • Advanced Physician Services (APS)

Each new connection is contributing data using Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA)—the industry standard format for exchanging clinical information.
