Currently, non-regulated entities are not being asked to sign the SCPA. The agreement you have in place with us—or any participating QE—is still active.

However, while not a current legal requirement, we do anticipate in the future that all organizations wishing to maintain access to the minimum service requirements established by the SHIN-NY will be asked to sign the SCPA.

What’s the benefit to signing the SCPA now and designating Hixny as your primary HIN?

Every QE has to meet the minimum requirements of core services, with Hixny you also gain access to enhanced efficiencies, our expertise and a sense of empowerment.

Expertise

For 25 years, Hixny has been a leader in healthcare information technology. The Statewide Health Information for New York (SHIN-NY) just recently announced a partnership with us to make a sliver of our capabilities available statewide, demonstrating the cutting-edge nature of our work.

Efficiencies

Through our SMART on FHIR enabled application, you have direct access to tools like the state’s Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) and a 1115 waiver-approved HRSN screening tool directly in your EHR, making every encounter more productive.

Empowerment

We continue to rely on a collaborative approach to product development. When you partner with us, you’ll be welcomed into our focus groups to contribute valuable feedback, allowing us to continue developing tools that empower providers with the information they need.
If you have questions about your current agreement with Hixny, please reach out to your account manager.

If you are not a Hixny participant and would like information about our services, please email us at info@hixny.org.

Hixny will be performing extended maintenance beginning Thursday, December 31 through Friday, January 1. During this time, all services
will be impacted and unavailable—including access to the provider portal.
