Primary care practices and a home health agency are among the newest connections.

ALBANY, N.Y. – Hixny connected four new healthcare provider organizations to the community-wide health information exchange (HIE) in May, further expanding the availability of patient records to the statewide healthcare community and to individual healthcare consumers.

New connections contributing data using Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) are:

  • Carondelet Regional Medical PC, a general internal medicine provider practice in Amsterdam, N.Y.
  • Hudson Shores Medical Group, a primary care practice in Watervliet, N.Y.

C-CDA is the industry standard format for exchanging clinical information, including quantitative data such as lab results and qualitative data such as progress and imaging reports, consult and referral notes, and more.

New connections that are using Hixny to view patient records, but are not contributing data, are:

  • All Metro Health Care, a home health agency with branches in Albany and Schenectady, N.Y.
  • Karen R. Banks-Lindner, DO, PLLC, a primary care provider in Norwich, N.Y.
